The position of South America in climatic zones and natural zones

South America stretches from north to south, and its territory is divided between five different climatic zones. From north to south, they change in the following order: equatorial, subequatorial (repeated twice on both sides of the equator), tropical, subtropical and temperate. In these climatic zones, the following natural zones are formed: moist evergreen forests, a zone of tall grass savannah, a zone of steppes, a zone of coniferous forests. Deserts also occupy a small area.
