The Triple Alliance is an agreement between Germany, Italy and Austria-Hungary. These countries were eager to join the struggle for colonies, expand their markets and raise their authority in the international arena. According to this agreement, the participating countries pledged to support each other.
The Entente is an alliance of France, Russia and England. These countries, in turn, feared the strengthening of the countries of the Triple Alliance and did not want to remake the existing order of things. Already having their colonies, France and England strove to protect them.
