| The total surface area of the cylinder is equal to the sum of the areas of its two bases and the area of the lateral surface:
Sp.p. = 2Sn. + Sb.p ..
Find the area of the base of the cylinder:
Sosn. = πr ^ 2;
Sosn. = 3.14 * 11 ^ 2 = 3.14 * 121 = 379.94 cm2.
We calculate the area of the lateral surface of the cylinder:
Sb.p .. = 2πrh;
Sb.p .. = 2 * 3.14 * 11 * * 15 = 1036.2 cm2.
Now let’s start calculating the total surface area:
Sp.p. = 2 * 379.94 + 1036.2 = 759.88 + 1036.2 = 1796.08 cm2.
Answer: the total surface area of the cylinder is 1796.08 cm2.
