The reason for the enmity was the humiliated situation that the peasants endured because of their feudal lords and landowners. Feudal lords established large taxes or infringed on the rights of peasants. This led to the fact that the peasants rebelled, often reaching an armed uprising against their landlords. But more often than not, such uprisings were suppressed, and their leaders were executed. Nevertheless, the constant popular uprisings led to the relief of the plight of the peasants. But all the same, cardinal changes took place when the serfdom was abolished.
