The reasons for the instability of agrocenosis.

Agrocenosis is an example of an artificially created ecosystem. Such ecosystems are unstable for a number of reasons:

1) They, as a rule, are dominated by a small number of species (for example, some kind of cereal), which is why the food chains are unbranched and short. For example: wheat – mouse – bird of prey – bacteria.

2) The circulation of substances is not closed, part of it is withdrawn by a person and does not return to the environment.

3) It follows from the previous paragraph that over time, the depletion of reserves of various substances in the soil occurs, so a person must additionally apply them in the form of fertilizers. If you launch such an ecosystem, over time it will die, and the succession will begin.
