| 1. Find the width of the rectangle. Since the area is the product of the length of the rectangle by its width, we divide the area by the length:
24: 6 = 4 (cm).
2. Find the perimeter of the rectangle. This is the doubled sum of its sides:
(6 + 4) * 2 = 10 * 2 = 20 (cm).
3. Since all sides of a square are equal, then its perimeter is equal to the side multiplied by 4. Then divide the perimeter by 4 to find the side:
20: 4 = 5 (cm).
4. Find the area of a square by squaring its side:
5 ^ 2 = 25 (cm).
