The relationship of Rome with Germany.

In antiquity, Rome opposed the numerous Germanic tribes that lived on the banks of the Rhine and Danube. To oppose them, Rome used both the power of the legions and diplomacy, as well as bribery so that one tribe fought with another. Thus, the borders of the empire were protected.

With the formation of barbarian kingdoms in Europe, their rulers strove to take Rome under their rule and thus become the defenders of the Christian faith.

The rulers of Germany both entered into alliances with Rome and were in confrontation.
