The relationship of the Russian empire with other countries, the empire in the 19th century.

In the 19th century, the Russian Empire took an active position in foreign policy. At the beginning of the century, Alexander 1 waged victorious wars with Turkey, Iran, Sweden. In 1812 the country was invaded by the French. As a result of the Patriotic War, Russia’s authority in the world has grown. She initiated the creation of an international organization for the preservation of peace. Under Nicholas 1, a not very successful war was fought – the Crimean War (1853-1856). In the course of this event, the role of Russia in the Balkans decreased, it lost its influence in the world.
