The hydrogen density D (H2) is the ratio of the molar mass of the gas to the molar mass of hydrogen (2 g / mol): M gas / M H2. If D (H2) = 15, then M gas = 30 g / mol (for example, nitric oxide NO).

The molar volume of any gas at normal conditions is equal to 22.4 liters, which means that 10 liters of our gas have a mass of (10 / 22.4) * 30 = 13.4 g.
