The results of the revolutions in France.

The revolution of 1830 resulted in the transition from the rigid monarchy of the “Old Bourbons” to the constitutionalism of the House of Orleans. The king’s power was curtailed, parliamentary powers were expanded, and democratic freedoms returned. However, at the same time, a narrow property qualification remained.
In 1848 a republic was declared again, but the internal situation remained unstable. As a result, in 1852 the monarchy was again declared – this time the restoration of the Empire took place under the rule of Napoleon III.
