Due to the post-war recession in the development of the metropolis, they lost their strength and authority in their colonies. This contributed to the emergence of anti-colonial sentiments in Latin America, Asia, Africa. Due to the inability to control these territories, the metropolis abandoned them. Thus, the countries of the Third World were freed.
