In this case, AB is equal to (12 + 6) 18 cm. Further, in order to find the ratio, it is necessary to divide this segment by the corresponding one. We get the following expression:
a) AC / AB
12/6 = 2
b) BC / AB
6/18 = 0.33
Answer: AC / AB = 2
BC / AB = 0.33
