| The side lengths of the quadrilateral are even consecutive numbers. Find the lengths of these sides if the perimeter of the quadrilateral is 228 cm.
Let the smallest side of a given quadrangle be x cm, then the rest are x + 2 cm, x + 4 cm, x + 6 cm.
Knowing that the perimeter of the quadrangle is 228 cm, we can write:
x + x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 228;
4 * x + 12 = 228;
4 * x = 228 – 12;
x = 216/4 = 54 cm.
Therefore, the sides of this quadrilateral are equal:
x = 54 cm,
x + 2 = 56 cm,
x + 4 = 58 cm,
x + 6 = 60 cm.
