The side of the triangle is 11.5 cm, 0.6 cm less than the second side and 0.9 cm more than the third. What is the perimeter of the triangle?
1) We find out how long the second side of the triangle has, if we know that it is 0.6 cm longer than its first side, and the length of the first side of the triangle is 11.5 cm.
11.5 + 0.6 = 12.1 cm.
2) We find out how long the third side of the triangle has, if we know that it is 0.9 cm shorter than its first side, and the length of the first side is 11.5 cm.
11.5 – 0.9 = 10.6 cm.
3) We find out how much of the lengths all the sides of the triangle make, if we know the lengths of all its sides, this will be its perimeter.
