| The volume of a cylinder can be calculated by the formula
V = П R ^ 2/4 * H, where
П R ^ 2/4 – base area;
H is the height of the cylinder.
Since the lateral surface of the cylinder is 15, that is
15 = 2 П R N,
where П = 3.14 is a constant number “Pi”;
2 П R = 7 – base circumference.
From where, H = 15/7.
At the base R = 7/2 P,
means the base area is
П R ^ 2/4 = П (7/2 П) ^ 2/4 = 49/16П.
So,
V = 49 / 16П * 15/7 = 105 / 16П or approximately 5.57.
Answer: the volume of the cylinder is 105 / 16П or approximately 5.57.
