Let’s say one side is 3x, then the other is 7x. The perimeter is equal to the sum of the lengths of all sides, i.e. P = 2 (3x + 7x). Therefore, 160 = 2 * 10x,
160 = 20x,
x = 160 ÷ 20
x = 80.
It turns out 3x = 80 × 3 = 240;
7x = 80 × 7 = 560.
Answer: the sides are equal respectively 240cm and 560cm
