The sides of the parallelogram are 4 and 10 cm. The height drawn to the larger side is 0.6 cm. Find the height drawn to the smaller side.

1. The tops of the parallelogram – A, B, C, D. AB = 4 centimeters. AD = 10 centimeters. The heights of ВK and ВН are drawn to the sides CD and AD, respectively. BH = 0.6 cm. S – parallelogram area.

2. S = AD x BH = 10 x 0.6 = 6 centimeters².

3. S = AB x BK = 6 centimeters².

ВK = 6: 4 = 1.5 centimeters.

Answer: ВK = 1.5 centimeters.
