Angle A is 90 degrees, which means we get a right-angled triangle ACB.
We know the legs of the triangle ACB, AC = 8 cm; AB = 12 cm.
By the Pythagorean theorem, СВ = √ ((AC ^ 2) + (AB ^ 2)) = √ ((8 ^ 2) + (12 ^ 2)) = √ (64 + 144) = √ 208 = 4 * √ 13.
Answer: 4 * √ 13.
