If we take the triangle of the legs, which are 8 cm and 10 cm, and the hypotenuse is 14 cm, then in order to find the sides of the trapezium, we need to draw a median line.

The median line is always parallel to the largest side and is equal to half of it. Here this side is the hypotenuse. 14: 2 = 7 cm;

Since the midline divides the legs in half, it means: 8: 2 = 4 cm and 10: 2 = 5 cm.

It follows that the sides of the trapezoid are equal: 7 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm.
