The significance of the English bourgeois revolution.

The most important result of the English bourgeois revolution was that a change in the state system took place in the country, now the king has ceased to be an absolute monarch. Power from the king passed to parliament, and the country itself became a parliamentary monarchy. Now the king could not single-handedly make important state decisions, and all his actions had to be coordinated with parliament. The parliament itself consisted of representatives of the bourgeoisie, as well as of wealthy landowners.
