The significance of the great French revolution.

The Great French Revolution of 1789-1794 shook Europe. Its main meaning can be considered the change of the ruling class from the monarchy (loss of authority, people’s dissatisfaction with the policy of the ruling king) to democracy, as well as the overthrow of the feudal system and the subsequent development of capitalism. The revolution prompted other peoples to take the path of struggle for their rights, the events of that time were widely discussed by famous scientists and thinkers, and slogans were shouted in the streets of Paris: “Freedom, equality, brotherhood.”
