The similarities and differences of the Reformation between England and France, 16th century.

King Henry 8 himself was interested in the Reformation in England. Thus, he tried to get rid of the influence of the pope, subjugating the church. The reformation was carried out through terror. Ultimately, the new religion in the country was named Anglicanism.

In France, the ideas of the Reformation appeared thanks to the ideas of the humanists of the 20-30s. The founder of the French reformation was John Calvin. Thus, Calvinism developed. However, in France the Huguenots (who were in favor of the reformation) were perceived negatively by most of the population. This was the reason for the outbreak of the Huguenot wars.
