The sum of the lengths of the sides of the triangle is 12cm. the length of the first side is 5 cm and the length of the second is 3 cm. find the length of the third side of the triangle.
The solution of the problem :
sides: a + b + c = 12cm
side a = 5cm; side b = 3cm ⇒ side c = 12cm- (5cm + 3cm) = 12cm-8cm = 4 (cm) – length of the third side
Answer: 4cm.
