The Thirty Years’ War is called a pan-European war why?

This is due to the fact that almost all of Europe was involved in this military conflict. Despite the fact that the Thirty Years’ War began as a religious conflict within the German Empire, it very soon turned into a pan-European one. So the parties to the conflict were: Sweden, England, Russia, France, etc. All these states at one time or another took part in hostilities. Ultimately, France and Sweden were able to seize the biggest benefits.
