The two planes took off from the airfield at the same time in opposite directions. 10 minutes after departure

The two planes took off from the airfield at the same time in opposite directions. 10 minutes after departure, the distance between them was 270 km. The first plane flew at a speed of 15 km / min. How fast was the second plane flying?

The solution of the problem:
1. Let’s find how many kilometers the first plane flew in ten minutes, if it is known at what speed it flew per minute.
10 * 15 = 150 kilometers
2. In the second step, we find out how many kilometers the second plane flew.
270-150 = 120 kilometers
3. Find out with what speed the second plane flew, if we know how many kilometers it flew and the time.
120/10 = 12 kilometers per minute
Answer: The speed of the second plane was twelve kilometers per minute.
