1. Vertices of the parallelogram A, B, C, D. Side CD = 5 units. Side AD = 6 units. BE = 4 units of measure – lower height (drawn to the AD side. ВK – higher height (drawn to the CD side)
2. Calculate the area (S) of the parallelogram:
S = AD x BE = 6 x 4 = 24 units².
3. We calculate the length of the height of the ВК using another formula for calculating the area of the parallelogram:
S = CD x ВK.
ВK = S: CD = 24: 5 = 4.8 units.
Answer: the length of the greater height of the ВК is 4.8 units of measurement.
