The types of chemical reactions are possible with examples.
Explanation of the solution to the problem: there are 4 types of chemical reactions, namely:
1) Addition reactions – reactions, as a result of which one more complex is formed from several substances.
Interaction of calcium oxide with carbon dioxide: CaO + CO2 = CaCO3.
2) Decomposition reaction – a reaction during which a complex substance breaks down into several complex ones.
Thermal decomposition of water-insoluble copper (II) hydroxide: Cu (OH) 2 = CuO + H2O.
3) Substitution reaction – a reaction in which a simple substance and a complex one enters, and as a result new simple and complex substances are formed.
Substitution of a copper atom with zinc: Zn + CuCl2 = ZnCl2 + Cu.
4) Metabolic reaction – a reaction during which new complex substances are formed from two complex substances.
Interaction of hydrochloric acid with sodium hydroxide: NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O.
