Let the length of the base of the BC be equal to X cm, then, by condition, the length of the base AD is equal to (X + 2) cm.

We use the formula for the length of the midline of a trapezoid.

KP = (AD + BC) / 2.

10 = (X + 2 + X) / 2.

2 * X = 20 – 2 = 18.

X = BC = 18/2 = 9 cm.

Then AD = BC + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11 cm.

Answer: The lengths of the bases of the trapezoid are 9 cm and 11 cm.
