The value of amoeba in nature and human life

In reservoirs, amoebas inhabit the bottom and surface of plants, are food for crustaceans, for fish larvae and adult fish that feed on the bottom. In the soil, amoeba also becomes food for animals. There are types of amoebas that cause serious diseases, including in humans (for example, dysentery) – it is necessary to fight against them by carrying out prevention (first of all, it consists in careful heat treatment of food and washing hands). Also, the amoeba is one of the model objects in biology.
