The value of green and white mosses in nature.

Mosses belong to higher plants, they are perennial plants. Prefer soils with high humidity.
Mosses are divided into two groups – leafy mosses, which have stems and leaves, and liverworts in which the body of the plant is represented by the thallus. Both groups are characterized by the absence of roots. Rhizoids are responsible for anchoring and water absorption in mosses.
Mosses have the ability to store water in the soil in which they are found, which leads to the formation of swamps and the creation of peat. And do not forget that mosses carry out the process of photosynthesis, participating in the creation of organic matter and oxygen.
