| The volume of a rectangular note parallelepiped is 180 dm3, and its two dimensions are 6 dm and 15 dm. find the sum of the lengths of all edges of the parallelepiped.
A rectangular parallelepiped is a parallelepiped with each face being a rectangle.
Its volume (numerical characteristic of the space occupied by the body) is calculated by the formula:
V = a * b * c.
1) Let’s find the third dimension if the other two are 6 and 15 dm³, and V = 180 dm³.
a = V: b: c = 180: 6: 15 = 2 dm.
2) The sum of the lengths of all edges is determined by the formula:
L = 4 * (a + b + c) = 4 * (6 + 15 + 2) = 4 * 23 = 92 dm.
