The water was heated in the vessel. Has the internal energy of the water changed? Can we say that some amount of heat is transferred to the water?

Internal energy increased by transferring a certain amount of heat to water, because internal energy is the energy of motion and interaction of particles that make up water. And heating caused the acceleration of the movement of water molecules, i.e. their kinetic energy has increased. On the other hand, a higher average velocity of molecules of a substance corresponds to its higher temperature, therefore, a change (increase) in internal energy is accompanied by an increase in temperature.
