The weight of an aluminum product is 15H in air and 9.5H in water. Determine the density of aluminum.

Initial data: P1 (weight of an aluminum product in air) = 15 N; P2 (weight of the aluminum product in water) = 9.8 N.

Reference data: ρw (water density) = 1000 kg / m3; g (acceleration due to gravity) = 9.81 m / s2.

1) The force of Archimedes: Fa = P1 – P2 = 15 – 9.8 = 5.2 N.

2) The volume of the aluminum body: V = Fa / (ρw * g) = 5.2 / (1000 * 9.81) = 0.53 * 10-3 m3.

3) Mass of the aluminum body: P1 = m * g and m = P1 / g = 15 / 9.81 = 1.529 kg.

4) Density of aluminum: ρа = m / V = 1.529 / (0.53 * 10-3) = 2885 kg / m3.
