The white matter in the central nervous system is formed by an accumulation.

White matter is part of the structure of brain tissue and consists of neuronal processes and neuroglia, which surrounds neurons and capillaries. This structure is located inside the cerebral hemispheres under the gray matter, and in the spinal cord – above it. For the spinal cord, it is characteristic that the bodies of white matter neurons can be located in different parts of the nervous system. The pathways formed by the white matter pass through the central nervous system in a strictly defined place and transmit strictly defined impulses in both directions.
