| First of all, we will find the width of the rectangle, knowing that it is 2 times less than its length, equal to 12 cm:
12: 2 = 6 cm.
The perimeter is the sum of all sides. Provided that the opposite dimensions of this figure are equal, we calculate it using the formula:
P = 2a + 2b = 2 * 12 + 2 * 6 = 24 + 12 = 36 cm.
The area corresponds to:
S = a * b = 12 * 6 = 72 cm².
