The problem is solved in two steps. The first is to find the length of a rectangular sheet:
6 * 3 = 18 dm
The second action is to find the very area of the figure. The area of a rectangle is found by multiplying its length by its width:
S = a * b, where a is the length and b is the width.
S = 6 * 18 = 108 dm2
Answer: 108 decimetres square area of a sheet of paper.
