The time of complete decay of a corpse always depends on the environment in which the body is located – if it is very hot, then complete decay may occur in a few months, but if it is cold, then the corpse can rot for years. In a typical grave, this process takes approximately three to five years. Before completely decay, the human body undergoes various stages: rigor mortis, the multiplication of fungi and bacteria, and after various insects, the skin gradually separates from the bones and complete decay occurs, after which only bones remain.
