To which countries did the Egyptians make military campaigns?

In the south, the Egyptians were interested in Nubia, that is, the territory of modern Sudan, where there were deposits of gold and the Nubians went to the service of the pharaohs as good archers.

Most often, the Egyptians fought in the northeast, as there were fairly rich lands. In the west, fighting was not so interesting, since most of Libya is desert.

Famous military campaigns were made by the pharaohs Thutmose III (battles at Megiddo in 1457 against Mitannia, Syria and Palestine) and Ramses II in 1284 fought at Kadesh with the Hittites.
