The English Civil War, or as it is also called the English Revolution, took place in the 17th century. As a result of this revolution, England passed from an absolute to a constitutional monarchy, that is, the power of the king was now limited by the power of parliament. Unlike other civil wars, the English Revolution of the 17th century was not a struggle for power per se, I was a struggle to choose a system of government.
