To whom is the modern English church subordinate?

The head of the Anglican Church is not the king or queen, as many think, but the Archbishop of Canterbury, whose residence is in the city of Canterbury. The Anglican Church is truly unique in that it considers itself both catholic, that is, universal, and reformed. The Anglican Church still enjoys extremely great influence, although since the 19th century its influence has been declining, today church schools still exist in the country, but there is no discrimination against non-Anglican Catholics, university teachers are not required to be clergy, disbelief in God is no longer shocking so respectable citizens.
