Perhaps you meant that a circle is inscribed in the trapezoid, then the sum of the bases is equal to the double midline:
12 * 2 = 24cm
Since a circle was inscribed into the trapezoid, the sum of the opposite sides is equal, therefore the sum of the sides is equal to the sum of the lengths of the bases, that is, 24cm
Total P = 24cm * 2 = 48cm
