Try to prove that species biodiversity is the foundation of sustainable ecosystem development.

Biodiversity refers to the diversity of life forms, the content of genetic diversity and their aggregates. Biological systems, be they tundra, forests, savannahs, grasslands, deserts, lakes, rivers, wetlands, coastal communities or marine ecosystems, are functionally complex, and this complexity is often, often unclear, related to the diversity of their composite species.

The deterioration of the Earth’s biodiversity has far deeper implications than other, sometimes more widely recognized, environmental dilemmas. Since the loss of biodiversity is irreversible – the lost species are lost forever – the potential impact on the human condition, on the tissue of the Earth’s living systems and on the evolutionary process is enormous. Therefore, the biological diversity of species is the basis for sustainable development of the ecosystem.
