Two cars simultaneously left the parking lot in the same direction at speeds of 60 km / h and 75 km / h. Determine: 1) the distance between them in 2 hours; 2) after what time there will be 90 km between them.

1) Find the speed of convergence of cars. When moving in pursuit, the speed of approach is equal to the difference in the speeds of moving objects, ie. subtract the lower speed from the higher speed.
75 – 60 = 15 (km / h).
2) Let’s find the distance between cars in 2 hours from the moment of the start of movement. To find the distance, you need to multiply the speed (in this case, the speed of approach) by time.
15 * 2 = 30 (km).
3) Find the time during which the distance between the cars becomes equal to 90 kilometers. To find the time, the distance must be divided by the speed (in our case, this is the speed of convergence).
90: 15 = 6 (h).
Answer. 30 km; 6 h.
