Two motorcyclists left 2 villages at the same time towards each other. One of them was driving at an average speed of 40 km / h, the other – 60 km / h. The motorcyclists met after 3 hours. What is the distance between these two villages?

The number of kilometers between 2 villages will be designated using the conditional variable “Y”.
The next step, applying the formula for the speed, will make the equation: Y = 3 x (40 + 60).
As a result of solving this equation, we get Y = 3 x 100 = 300 kilometers.
