25 * 10 = 250 (cm) – 25 dm.
250: 100 = 2.5 (m) – at 250 cm.
2. Now we can subtract from the received number the lengths of two cut pieces of rope, each of which is equal to 1 m. We get:
2.5 – 1 – 1 = 0.5 (m) is the length of the remaining part of the rope.
0.5 m = 50 cm = 5 in.
