Two players simultaneously started moving in one direction to the finish line from two points, the distance between which is 200 meters. The first player moves at a speed of 80m / min, the second player – at a speed of 90m / min. What is the distance between the players in 2 minutes?

1) Let’s find out how many more meters the first player overcomes in 1 minute if the speed of the first player is 90 m / min, and the second moves at a speed of 80 m / min.

90 – 80 = 10 m / min.

2) We find out how many more meters the first player will overcome in 2 minutes than the second, if we learned that in 1 minute the second moves away by 1 meter.

10 * 2 = 20 meters.

3) Find out at what distance the players will be from each other in 2 minutes, if initially the distance between them was 200 meters.

200 + 20 = 220 meters.

Answer: After 2 minutes, the distance between the players will be 220 meters.
