| Two resistors have 1 Ohm supports (resistance). what will be the current power if you connect one resistor to a 1 V constant voltage source? Two resistors in parallel? Two resistors in series?
The power released in the load is found by the formula:
P = U ^ 2 / R, where P is power, U is voltage, R is resistance.
If one resistor is connected:
P = 1 ^ 2/1 = 1 W.
When two resistors are connected in series, their resistances are added:
R = 1 + 1 = 2 ohms.
P = 1 ^ 2/2 = 1/2 Ohm.
When connected in parallel, their reciprocal values are added:
R = 1 / (1/1 + 1/1) = 1/2.
P = 1 ^ 2 / (1/2) = 2 W.
