Two trains go towards each other. One traveled 1/5 of the entire path, and the other half. How many kilometers are they left to go to the meeting, if the distance between them was originally 200 km?

The first step is to find out how many kilometers one train has traveled. It is known that he covered a fifth of the entire path. Hence, we divide the total distance by 5:
1) 200/5 = 40 (km) – the first train passed.
Find out how many kilometers the second train traveled. It is known to be half the entire path or 1/2.

Find out how many kilometers both trains have traveled:
3) 40 + 100 = 140 (km) – two trains passed
