Two trains left the cities at the same time, one 70 km per hour, the other 65 km per hour, at what distance these trains will be from each other in 14 hours, if the distance between cities is 2150 km.
In the condition of the problem it is said that two trains leaving each other were on the way for 14 hours, that is, each traveled for 14 hours.
Then the first train traveled at a speed of 70 km / h: 14 * 70 = 980 km.
Then the second train passed at a speed of 65 km / h: 65 * 14 = 910 km.
Therefore, after 14 hours the distance between the trains is: 2150 – 980 – 910 = 260 km.
