Types of buds by location on the stem.

There are three types of arrangement of buds on the stem: alternate, whorled, and opposite.
The next is such an arrangement in which the buds on the stem are alternately one by one. Example, birch, oak.
The opposite is the arrangement of the kidneys in pairs, opposite each other. Example, maple, lilac.
Whorled – the location of the buds, in which there are three buds on each node of the stem. This is the rarest arrangement of buds, most often found among indoor plants, for example, the oleander plant.
